This year, AbbVie Canada and Crohn’s and Colitis Canada (CCC) proudly mark the 15th anniversary of the IBD Scholarship Program.
Since its launch, the program has supported 169 Canadian students living with IBD, recognizing their resilience, academic ambition, and commitment to their communities.
Each year, 15 students are awarded a one-time $5,000 scholarship to support their post-secondary education. Funded through an educational grant from AbbVie and managed by Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, the program is open to students of all ages who are pursuing higher education while living with IBD.
To mark this milestone, we are sharing a video celebrating past recipients and the impact of the program over time. Please listen to Shelby, Peter, Rachel, Ashley and Cloe, five former scholars, who share their experience living with IBD and how the scholarship helped them pursuing their academic goals.
The AbbVie IBD Scholarship Program reflects a continued commitment to supporting the IBD community through initiatives that help reduce barriers and enable students to focus on their education.
